Or maybe you’ve been wearing hearing aids for a few years now, and you think it’s time for an upgrade. Or perhaps you’re not so tech-savvy and you’d like more hands-on support with your devices.

It may be time to get your hearing checked. AARP Hearing Solutions makes it simple. Find a provider today.
With AARP Hearing Solutions, you’re able to personalize your hearing care. That means you choose your hearing aid level and your support package separately, so you get just what you need.
The site lets you explore options even before your hearing exam, says Eric Reams, a board-certified hearing aid dispenser and consultant with UnitedHealthcare Hearing. “Members won’t know exactly what they need yet, but they can start to get a feel for what’s possible so that when they do get in front of that provider, they’re much further ahead in the conversation,” he says.
This helps make the process of getting hearing aids simple — with no surprises. “The goal is to make things as clear as possible, so AARP members are comfortable,” says Reams. You can see up-front pricing on all the packages ahead of your appointment.
Here’s what to know.
Choose between four levels of hearing aids, from entry level to cutting-edge premium models:
With the first two levels, AARP members get access to value options, including Relate®, UnitedHealthcare Hearing’s private-label brand. The gold and platinum options offer great value for members who are on a budget. The Relate devices are high-quality and affordable.
With the two brand-name options, members have access to a variety of hearing aids from nationally known brands: Beltone, Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, Signia, Starkey and Widex. The standard and premium choices give you access to the latest technology at different price points.
Of course, you’ll pick your exact hearing aid when you have your appointment with your hearing care professional. They’ll guide you through your choices. But you’re able to compare the costs and features ahead of time, so you can get a sense of what’s out there. (Ready to compare pricing? Learn more.)
All hearing aid options in the AARP Hearing Solutions program include a no-cost exam and hearing-aid fitting, a 3-year warranty for value devices or a 4-year warranty for brand-name devices, and a 60-day trial period.
But you have the option to purchase a package that delivers support beyond the first 60 days. This allows you to see your hearing care professional — with no additional costs — for future hearing aid needs such as:
“These packages help get the price the AARP member pays as low as possible, with the best possible care down the road,” says Reams.
